Yesterday I spoke to ITV London News outside the new mobile testing centre that’s been set up in Ealing after a resident tested positive for the South African strain of Covid-19.
I urge people living or working in the area with or without symptoms to get tested so that any others with this variant can be identified to protect them, their loved ones and the wider community.
There’s no evidence the variant is more deadly, but it does appear to be more contagious. Let’s work together to stamp down on these cases and protect our community.
