#Brexit red tape is holding back Britain’s entertainment industries:
— The National Theatre has shelved plans to tour in mainland Europe due to visa concerns.
— 76% of UK musicians have said Brexit travel restrictions will stop them performing in EU countries.
And a constituent of mine has told me how a ski/comedy festival he was due to perform at was cancelled because of Brexit obstacles. It really is taking the piste!
This morning I challenged an International Trade Minister to sweep away this Brexit bureaucracy, and help unleash the talents of our entertainers on mainland Europe once the worst of Covid is behind us.
