Last weekend, I joined Ealing Save Our NHS to celebrate the 73rd birthday of our marvellous health service.
The NHS is compassion in action, care with a human face and solidarity writ large. Over the last 18 months, it has had to work for us like never before. We owe a debt of gratitude for the NHS heroes who have put their lives on the line to support the country throughout the pandemic.
As I made clear in a speech outside Ealing Hospital, the least the Government could do to pay tribute to NHS staff is to give them a decent pay rise. #CashNotClaps #HappyBirthdayNHS
